A new exhibition has opened at the Soomaa Visitor Centre in Viljandi County, in the heart of Soomaa National Park. Created by LUMIA in collaboration with PULT, it is designed as a journey where design and nature meet. The space, combining site-specificity and nature education, guides visitors through the diverse landscapes of Soomaa, introducing step by step the region’s biodiversity and historical settlement.
The atmosphere of the exhibition is crowned by an experiential interpretation of Soomaa’s most well-known phenomenon – the “fifth season.” The entire space is unified by the traditional haabjas (dugout canoe), symbolizing centuries of coexistence between humans and nature.
